About Us
“I view my clients as good friends and family—partnering together
to further their business and goals.”
Mark Reader, CPA, MST, PFS, CGMA is passionate about what he does and even more passionate about the clients he serves. As the owner of the firm, his specialty is assisting small to mid-size businesses. He works closely with business owners to assist with accounting, financial statement preparation, and planning, as well as tax and consulting needs. His goal is to help businesses from inception to divesture.
Mark is a tax expert and has worked at KPMG in the middle-market tax practice and also spent time in the private sector as a tax director. He has a strong background in individual, business, trusts, and estate taxation. However, his real passion and specialty lie in S corporation taxation. S corporation taxation is a highly-litigated area where less experienced accountants can often overlook critical nuances that can make a big difference for clients.
Mark recognizes that to best serve his clients, he must look at more than just the numbers. His unique background in both public and private accounting gives him a unique, holistic perspective. He can see the big picture, and factors in both short- and long-term considerations that can affect a business owner’s ability to achieve their goals. He also has a broad network of professional contacts available to assist clients when needed.
Mark holds a Bachelor of Science and a Masters in Taxation from California State University Northridge. He is a member of the California Society of CPAs and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and also holds the Certified Public Accounting (CPA) license, the Chartered Global Management Accounting (CGMA) designation and the Personal Financial Specialist (PFS) designations.
Mark is highly addicted to golf and can usually be found on a golf course when he’s not in the office. A father of 3, he spends a great deal of time with his family enjoying the outdoors.
